RILKE
The 'Rilke Bust' was an experiment in sculptural portraiture
from using actual photos of the poet in different stages of
his life and theorectical, anatomical applications. It survived
only in its wax form, not being placed in a bronze bust format,
nor was there a master mold taken;it now exists through these
photos only. It was created 20% larger than life-size and
was sculpted in homage to the efforts of the Poet: here the
poet is shown accompanied by his family crest, wreathed in
roses at the age of between 40 and 45. Dimensions were 24"
wide x 28"inches tall.
